I keep seeing Rome has fallen and is in ruins. I've been to those 'ruins,' it's still a very viable city. With a history, a pretty good one at that. Perhaps the empire ended as gladiators don't fight tigers. Or do they? When I was sent to Vietnam it was my choice to sign up, but theirs to send me over there. My mission: keep 45 boys alive while I carried out orders from high command. The 'boys' were ONE YEAR younger than I was. My first act was to tear up Rules Of Engagement. That was a suicide pact if I ever read one. We had many 'disagreements lol.' So if you think of the US as Rome, the military (we have two, I never mean the woke one, a girl scout troupe can take them out), as gladiators everything is the same. Or all roads DO lead to Rome.

That's one example, I was thinking of the US' military in Vietnam. Ten years.

A similar thought occurred to me as a biked by an Hispanic Catholic Church in Redwood City one day. "Holy cow, the Roman Empire continues: These people still speak a derivative of Latin, their religion is centered in Rome, and to some degree their food and even their genes are those of ancient Romans."

This is also true for other ancient empires. They empire shrinks and loses power, but the religion remains as a vestige of the empire, as in the Greek Orthodox Church, the Armenian church, the Assyrians, and even the Egyptians, who preserve a form of ancient Egyptian in the Coptic liturgy.

This is a version of Christianity that I can almost get into! Except I already have three "other" religions so not much more space! I like your writings, though. Does that count, too?

Hey there LIbor Soural,

I enjoyed this substack submission, and I really like the pictures of 'Modern' Roman Warriors in halo-like gear - is that your work? Really good pics those.

However, Rome has had its day, it will not rise again as a world power, but there are Rome's descendants, who wrap themselves in the image of Rome - The UK, and The USA, it is these two who are actively ruining the Earth, seeking to dominate it for their own glorification, and for the total and eternal slavery of humankind - which they will never acheive - it is an insult towards God, and mimickry of Satan's intentions.

The Great Harlot, Babylon The Great, is the one that commits fornication with the kings and merchants of this world, and it is they who will turn around and devastate her, exposing her vileness and nakedness to the nations ... but as soon as they have done this, they will be wringing their hands saying "What have we done?", at what they have done, as they will try to destroy ALL religions in this act (not just one or two) ... and then their end will come swiftly - God's war against a corrupt and twisted system , not Man's idea of what Man thinks God's war should look like - the Bible makes it clear that God's war is different to how Man wages war - his war will leave all the armed forces of the world humiliated, and in utter futility they will realise their mistake.

God's war will eradicate those that stand against his will, and all will know what, and who is doing it, because in that day he will make all the nations know his name - but be assured, this war will be unlike Man's ways of War, and will be extremely swift (no army will be able to offer any meaningful resistance, if any at all).

The Rome mentioned in Revelations is a symbolic Rome, not the literal nation of old, a dual-headed beast that is the modern US & UK, which follow in a line of successive rulers, and it is they who lead the charge against God's works and peoples, as can be seen eagery demonstrated on a daily basis.

The pictures you posted are scarily evocative, as to me they portray the modern 'Rome' very well. You have the modern - American armoured look, promoted (in a sense) in games like Halo and others, with clear historic connections to ancient Rome, which do not look out of place even if the backdrops were the modern City of London, or Washington today.

Sorry I don't fully agree with your interpretation, but I am happy to read what you write, as you clearly have some brains. I don't want to get into an argument about biblical interpretations, I am however glad there are people like you who share your views, maybe even invite discussion.

Thank you Libor.

The check hasn't arrived yet. In the past it's taken them 3 weeks to 3 months. I really have no clue. I just try to stay distracted and there is a lot around here to do that job.

Good read and yes we at a very end stage....and I've even been looking Revelation lately.

I allowed myself to get too far from the scriptures.

Thanks as well for stopping by!

they knew they were only one side of it. They didn't speak for anyone else. They just didn't know what to do with the other side. Eventually everyone decided that it was their sexuality that needed to be eliminated.

Oh yes, the barbarians didn't wipe them out as proposed they were simply assimilated. I have had the thought instead of Hiroshima and Nagasaki it should have been Berlin and Rome. But the USA has been assimilated as well.

Yup, Rome is well and alive, having established the Roman Catholic Church...Constantine the Emperor who did so, and it was a political move I am sure, took Christian scriptures...writings...and removed those he didn't like (so it is said) and added a few things he did like and since then individuals who've translated the 'Bible' from, and into various languages, have added and deducted what they liked and didn't like...We were given free choice after all...It left us with a mystery which we have, as the human race, by no means deciphered...We wallow in the mess made by our collusion with the rules and regulations laid down by this religion...A tooth for a tooth, an eye for an eye...blinded= war, misery, pain and destruction.

Yet the human spirit will not be destroyed by either the religious power mongers , nor the so called 'demonic' powers, because if we so desire...WE HAVE THE CHOICE! Or so it is said.
